“Diasporic Lover, the short film”—inspired by the work of Malick Sidibé and Sanlé Sory, two photographers who captured the energy of nightlife, love, and community in the ‘60s and ‘70s in Mali and Burkina Faso. Their images have influenced generations of photographers and shaped the vision for alaase and the world we are building.
